The University has partnered with Oxford International Education Group (OIEG) to create the new University of Kent International College (UK IC).

The International College is in a dedicated building on the Canterbury campus, in the heart of student life and close to on-site student accommodation.

Students at UK IC can choose one of two undergraduate pathways (International Foundation Programme or International Year Zero), or one postgraduate (International Incorporated Master’s) pathway.

This exciting partnership will support the University’s global engagement strategy, informing it with a deep understanding of the varied needs of students and helping deliver a seamless recruitment experience. Through focused academic learning and pastoral care, OIEG will ensure that UK IC provides students with the best opportunity to successfully progress onto their chosen course of study.

Lil Bremermann-Richard, CEO of Oxford International Education Group, commented: ‘We are proud to support the University of Kent’s global vision for its international and domestic student community. We believe that our services can build upon and enhance the University’s reputation and international success. Our approach is focused on student outcomes, and we go above and beyond supporting students throughout their studies with us and ensuring that the transition to university is seamless. With our international expertise and the University’s world class education offering, we can together transform lives and unlock opportunities.’

Professor Karen Cox, Kent’s Vice-Chancellor and President, said: ‘We are proud of Kent’s international identity, with our new global engagement strategy setting out how we will build more and stronger links around the world. Our Canterbury campus is a warm and welcoming environment for a diverse range of students, with Oxford International Education Group’s student-centric approach fitting perfectly with our ethos – we’re excited to launch the University of Kent International College with them to both boost inward investment to the region and mark the next era in expanding our international presence.’
